Protests erupted in major French cities presidential election results. In Paris, the cops shot several times at the car, the driver and passenger of the car were killed. The vehicle was moving at high speed towards law enforcement officers.

According to Reuters, the protesters gathered at Place du Chatelet in the First arrondissement of Paris. Some protesters clash with law enforcement officers. The police reportedly fired tear gas.

According to Actu, the protests began in the commune of Rennes. Judging by the footage published by the Internet portal, hundreds of people are shouting slogans against Macron, as well as against the National Rally candidate Marine Le Pen.
A group of protesters set fire to a barricade made of wooden furniture and trash cans and confronted the police officers standing in a cordon.
The Brut portal published a video from a protest march in Toulouse. The footage shows protesters with a banner “Neither Macron nor Le Pen – revolution!”.

Elections in France
After the counting of votes in the second round of presidential elections in France, it became known that Emmanuel Macron won 58.55% (18,779,812 votes). The leader of the far-right National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, won 41.45% (13,297,729 votes).
Thus, Emmanuel Macron remains the President of France.
