The Pentagon does not believe that Putin will use nuclear weapons
The United States does not believe in the existence of a threat of use by Russia nuclear weaponsdespite the recent escalation in Moscow’s rhetoric.
A senior official in the US Department of Defense noted that there is no threat to NATO territory yet.
“We continue to monitor their nuclear capabilities every day as far as possible, and we do not assess that there is a threat of the use of nuclear weapons and there is no threat to NATO territory,” the official said on condition of anonymity.
