The Italian police managed to prevent several hacker attacks during the Eurovision 2022 voting. The attack was attempted hacker group “Killnet” and its branch “Legion”.
In the Telegram channel of the Legion, messages were published that DDoS attacks were received by the servers of the music competition.

Russian cyberattack on Lviv. The authorities revealed the details of the theft of city data
During a Russian cyberattack on the network of the Lviv City Hall, some of the city’s work files were stolen. They were published on enemy Telegram channels. Now the SBU and the Cyber Police are eliminating the consequences. This was announced by the first deputy mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko.
“It has just become known about the first consequences of the May 13 cyber attack in Lvov. Russia, in addition to missiles, also uses the IT front. In addition to destroying the city management system, the enemy aimed to obtain data. Part of the city’s working files, despite all the protection systems, was stolen and published on enemy Telegram channels. We are working together with the SBU and the Cyber Police to overcome the consequences. At this time, as always, we must be very careful – both offline and online,” Moskalenko said.
On May 13, one of the largest hacker attacks was carried out on the Internet networks and services of the Lviv City Council. In 2 days, we managed to restore some of the services, the site of the mayor’s office is working.
Since February 24 alone, IT specialists have repulsed more than 100 attempts of hacker attacks on the Lviv City Council.
