Biden and his wife were evacuated from their home: what happened

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill were evacuated from their Rehoboth Beach home in Delaware after a small private jet mistakenly entered the airspace near their home.

The White House said that Biden and his family are not in danger, and precautions have been taken. After assessing the situation, the president and his wife returned to their home.

The Secret Service said it would interview a pilot who was not on the proper radio channel and did not follow flight instructions. As it is standard practice for presidential travel outside of Washington, the Federal Aviation Administration released flight restrictions earlier this week ahead of Biden’s visit to the beach town.

Federal regulations require pilots to check en-route restrictions before takeoff. However, accidental airspace violations, especially around temporary restricted areas, are common.

The United States has set a condition for Ukraine to use HIMARS

The United States asked Ukraine not to use the HIMARS MLRS for strikes deep into Russia, but only to protect Ukrainian territory. This was announced on June 1 by Deputy White House National Security Adviser John Finer. Finer also said that the MLRS with a range of up to 80 km is exactly the kind of help that Ukraine needs today.

Note that HIMARS will be equipped with ammunition that will allow Ukraine to launch missiles at a distance of about 80 kilometers. This is much less than the maximum range of the systems, which is about 300 kilometers, but much more than anything that has been sent to Ukraine so far.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov believes that the American MLRS will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to even out the situation on a separate sector of the front.
