(ANSA) – ROME, JUNE 09 – With Western long-range weapons Ukraine could “clean up (of Russian troops) Severodonetsk in two or three days”. The Lugansk regional military chief Sergiy Gaidai wrote on Telegram, explaining that at the moment the Federation army is forcefully attacking the industrial area and it is impossible to evacuate the population. “The Russians stick to their primitive tactics: heavy artillery fire, then breakthrough attempts. The same happened in the already destroyed Rubizhne and Popasna,” Gaidai said. “If we get western long-range weapons quickly, an artillery duel will begin, Russia will lose in the west and our defenders will be able to clean up Severodonetsk in two or three days.” The military leader then reiterated that “the Russians do not control the Lysychansk-Bakhmut road, but constantly storm it”.
