(ANSA) – TEHRAN, June 11 – Iran and Venezuela have signed a cooperation agreement that will be valid for the next 20 years: the Iranian state TV reported.
The agreement, signed during a visit by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to Iran, indicates the determination of the authorities of the two countries to strengthen ties in different fields, President Ebrahim Raisi said in a joint press conference with Maduro.
Aside from the 20-year global strategic agreement, the details of which have not yet been disclosed, Iran and Venezuela have signed documents on political, economic, oil and petrochemical cooperation, IRNA reported.
“Tehran has strengthened its cooperation with Caracas in recent years in the areas of defense, military, energy, overhaul and repair of refinery thermal plants, technical and engineering services and the economy,” said President Raisi at the joint press conference. (HANDLE).
