Usa: 31 supremacists stopped, they wanted to create chaos in LGBTQ pride

(ANSA) – NEW YORK, JUN 11 – Thirty-one people belonging to the extremist group Patriot Front were arrested in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, near a LGBTQ pride event in which they wanted to wreak havoc.

The 31 people, all dressed alike and with riot gear, were stopped by US police while they were aboard a pickup truck. The authorities accused them of “conspiracy to revolt”.

The white supremacists of the Patriot Front were arrested following a “phone call from a concerned citizen who reported about 20 people in a U-Haul van wearing their faces covered and looking like a small army,” police said. The extremist group was made up of people from different American states and had moved from city to city to wreak havoc at LGBTQ events. “They had protections, shin guards, riot gear and at least one smoke bomb,” added the police. The Patriot Front is a group of neo-Nazi supremacists who are part of the larger alt right movement. The group is led by Thomas Ryan Rousseau, the former number one of Vanguard America, another right-wing movement from which Patriot Front was born. (HANDLE).
