(ANSA) – LONDON, JUN 14 – London today commemorates the fifth anniversary of the fire in the Grenfell Tower, a public housing block devoured by flames on the upper floors on June 14, 2017 on the edge of the London district of Kensington & Chelsea, in which they died 72 people, including a couple of young Italian architects from the Veneto region. Several ceremonies are planned in the British capital to remember the victims, including a religious service at Westminster Abbey, 72 seconds of silence (such as the number of dead) inside the Westfield shopping center, and the laying of flowers at Innocent Victims’ Memorial. On the part of the associations that bring together the relatives of the victims and the survivors, the need to do justice for the fire was reiterated, with the request that those responsible be indicted.
