(ANSA) – NEW YORK, JUNE 16 – Donald Trump knew that his plan to overturn the elections was illegal. This is the accusation made by the commission of inquiry on January 6 against the former president. During its third public hearing, the commission shows, with video and live testimony, Trump’s campaign of lobbying against then-Vice President Mike Pence. Among the witnesses, judge J. Michael Luttig, icon of the conservatives, took the floor. Luttig reports that he consulted with one of Pence’s advisors before January 6 and explained to him that if the vice president respected Trump’s “orders” not to certify the election results, “America would be plunged into a revolution.” in a “constitutional crisis”.
