Britain wants to take the lead in rebuilding Ukraine after the war

Next year, the UK will host a conference on restoration of Ukraine. London intends to become a leader in the restoration of the post-war Ukrainian economy.

Britain said it was working with Ukraine and other countries to host a rebuilding conference next year. Members of the British government also intend to sit on a supervisory board to help coordinate Ukraine and its reconstruction allies. A focal point office will be opened in London.

“We are leading the way in supporting Ukraine during the war and will continue to lead the way in supporting the country’s recovery and development plan,” British Foreign Secretary Liz Thrus said in a statement.

Truss added that the restoration of Ukraine after Russia’s aggressive war would be a symbol of the power of democracy over autocracy. The pooled investment should show Russian President Vladimir Putin that his attempts to destroy Ukraine have only created a strong and prosperous nation.

The European Union will allocate new assistance for the restoration of Ukraine

European Union will allocate to Ukraine 9 billion euros of financial assistance jointly with G7 partners. This was announced by the head of the European Council Charles Michel.

“The European Council will continue to help Ukraine with its urgent liquidity needs together with the G7. The European Council is ready to provide Ukraine with 9 billion euros. Strong and concrete support to Ukraine,” the message says.
