Seven departments remain on orange alert (five in the southwest, with Ardèche and Drome) and three other departments (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Haute-Loire and Pyrénées-Orientales) have been placed on yellow alert.
Temperatures also rising in Paris. “Monday should be the hottest day”; explains the head of Météo-France, Matthieu Chevallier. On that day, like Sunday, temperatures “of over 40 ° C are conceivable” in the most affected regions, such as the south-west and the Rhone valley.
