(ANSA) – PARIS, JUL 18 – The city of Paris raises the alert level in view of the strong heat wave expected for today and tomorrow. In the capital of France, the mercury column is expected to touch about 40 degrees for the next two days and the authorities have declared the third alert level out of the four foreseen in the weather surveillance scale.
In addition to the activation of a crisis unit, various measures have been announced by the local authorities, such as the opening of refrigerated rooms with free access in the districts, strengthening aid for the homeless, opening parks and gardens even at night for allow Parisians and tourists to find a little cool.
