Kiev, nearly 800 civilians evacuated from Donetsk in 24 hours

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 05 – Nearly 800 civilians have been evacuated from four cities in the Donetsk region, in eastern Ukraine, in the last 24 hours: the state emergency service of the region announced on Facebook, according to reports Ukrinform.

At least 725 people, including 85 children, were evacuated from Pokrovsk. Another 17 people were evacuated from the Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts and 33 – including 11 children – from the city of Toretsk.

The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk, had announced in recent days the beginning of the mandatory evacuation from the Donetsk region. The first group of evacuees arrived by train in Kropyvnytskyi, in the Kirovohrad region, on 2 August. (HANDLE).
