Rescue work is underway at the accident site, and all possible assistance is being provided to the victims,” he wrote.
The Hindustan Times reported that, according to preliminary data, a passenger train en route from Bangalore to Kolkata collided with another passenger train and derailed. Some of the cars were thrown onto neighboring railway tracks, and then a high-speed train from Kolkata to Chennai drove into them.
