Barak Tzach, 40, was identified as a man who was attacked by a shark on the coast of Hadera, in Israel. Tzach, who was the father of four, was in place with the intention of shooting these sea animals, using appropriate equipment such as mask, snorkel, fins and a gopro camera.
According to reports, Tzach was seen trying to defend himself from the shark and asking for help while dragging to the open sea. A fisherman who was present at the time of the attack stated that the diver swam near the sharks and walked away to capture images of them. The tragedy happened on Monday (21), and generated a significant mobilization to locate Tzach’s body.
Search operations involved divers and helicopters, and human remains were found almost a day after the attack. Identification confirmed that the remains belonged to Barak Tzach. The diver’s family manifested itself, denying rumors that he was feeding the sharks, clarifying that his only goal was to record marine life.
