The presidential administration of Donald Trump will calculate that Ukraine and the aggressor have reached an agreement on the ceasefire within 30 days. Europe also calls on Europe.
This was announced the appointment of the White House, Caroline Levitt at a briefing on Friday, May 9. According to her, Trump discussed this issue with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky during a telephone conversation on May 8.
“It was a good bell, and they also discussed, of course, the ceasefire offered by the president-30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, which, as we know, supports Europe, and we hope that both countries will agree with this,” said the representative of the White House.
Levitt added that Zelensky called on Trump to report that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the US agreement on minerals and the creation of a joint investment fund.
“I talked with the president about this call. He said that the call was very good and productive. And, of course, the agreement on critical minerals is great for Ukraine, but also, of course, for the United States of America and our taxpayers, ”she added.
Recall that on May 9, the new German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz said that he would probably agree with the ceasefire. The US offer of a 30-day truce is supported by Ukraine, EU and NATO countries, so now the ball is on the side of Moscow.
