“Expected”: Romania was declared Russian intervention in the election

In Romania, under the second round of the presidential election, which took place on Sunday, the 18th, “again noticed signs of Russian intervention.” In particular, this happened through the viral campaign of fakes on a telegram and social networks.

“During the presidential election in Romania, we again see the signs of Russian intervention. The viral campaign of fake news on the telegram and on other social networks platforms is aimed at impact on the electoral process.

At the same time, the founder of Telegram, Pavel Dyurov, said that one of the countries of Western Europe turned to a telegram in order to restrict access to the political channels of a conservative direction in Romania on the eve of the presidential election.

He did not indicate which country he was talking about, but added Emoji with a baguette hinted at France.

“The Government of Western Europe (guesses that) turned to a telegram to suppress conservative votes in Romania on the eve of today’s presidential elections. I categorically refused. The telegram will not limit the freedom of Romanian users and will not block their political channels. Elections ”, interfering in the elections. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France on the social network X rejected the charges of Durov. The department called this “maneuver in order to distract from real threats of interference” in the elections in Romania.

After calculating 100% of the ballots, he received 40.96% of the vote. In second place is the mayor of Bucharest Nikusher Dan with 20.99% of the vote.

Earlier it was reported that George Simion made a loud statement during the debate, expressing the conviction that Ukraine should compensate for Romania at the expense of the help that the country had in the war with Russia. He emphasized that Ukraine should compensate for Romania’s expenses to the system of patriots, which was transferred within the framework of assistance.
