The president of the United States, Donald Trumpconfirmed on Saturday (21) that the American Armed Forces bombing against three nuclear facilities of the Iranmarking US official entry into the war between Israel and Iranian theocracy. In a publication on the Truth Social network, Trump stated that the attacks hit the nuclear complexes of Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. “A total load of pumps was launched on the main target, Fordow,” he wrote. The president also stated that the planes involved in the operation have already left the Iranian airspace and return safely to the United States.

The offensive was performed with B-2 stealing bombers, who took place from Whiteman Air Base in Missouri, and were accompanied by refueling aircraft in flight. The movement of these aircraft had already been detected by air traffic monitors at dawn. The speculated destination was initially the American base in Guam in the Pacific, but the mission directly continued to the Middle East.

B-2 are the only aircraft capable of launching GBU-57, 13.6-ton antibunker pump designed to destroy underground targets, such as the Fordow installation, located under a mountain and considered one of the most protected in the Iranian nuclear program.

With the attack, the US formally integrates Israel’s military campaign against Iran, which began a week ago with the stated goal of preventing the Persian country’s ability to develop nuclear weapons. At the end of his publication, Trump stated: “Now is time for peace,” signaling that he considers the mission closed and indicating that he wants to avoid a greater climbing of the conflict.
