NATO summit. Why the world does not begin before the end of the year
1. After the war in Iran, the “Elections” Trump is terrible and unpredictable. The summit was the advantage of one “actor”, who had just won in two wars. And all participants (viewers) decided that for the well of Europe it was necessary to offer him his first triumph. The show succeeded. And provoked the illusion of returning to a normal life.
2. After hostilities in Iran and the stabilization of the Middle East, America returned to negotiations with the EU, where Ukraine is part of the same negotiations. What are these negotiations? On responsibilities, security (nuclear umbrellas, American bases, article 5 and peace of Russia) and war in Ukraine.
3. Trump’s game is quite clear. He wants to balance the trade balance with the EU, first of all, thanks to the purchase of US weapons and the construction of high enterprises with the EU in the USA. In turn, the United States will not delete its troops from Europe and guarantee NATO 5. In fact, this summit, more precisely, a promise to spend 5% of GDP defense, was the first step to this agreement.
4. But there are two more questions left. The first of them are responsibilities. There are two approaches: the introduction of high duties (30% and above) into European goods or storage of all duties (the concept is offered by mask, among other things). Macron tried to raise this problem, but Trump did not support this conversation (the triumph is not connected with difficult negotiations). But, seriously, the obligations in exchange for safety are the main topic of EU negotiations – the United States for the coming months.
5. The second issue, which did not even discuss the proposals of Dmitry, voiced in Riyadh. In short, Russia suggested that the United States create trading houses that will sell the EU under the Russian flag. This is a proposal for the United States, but Europe is categorically against. It is possible that Trump will also try to impose this story with duties.
6. This is all important for us for one reason: Russia, like Europe, needs Americans for negotiations with the EU, and therefore Washington is not going to increase pressure on the Kremlin, although this will not weaken the previous sanctions.
7. Negotiations with Europeans, if not something unusual, will occur in a few months (October-November). And after that, Trump will begin peace negotiations in Ukraine and, in the visible, negotiations with China. At the same time, I am sure that we will sell weapons all this time.
8. In this whole story there is one big problem: how we do not fall out of negotiations on negotiations of the USA -Crane. Our peace negotiations depend on how Europeans are connected by customs and security factors with peaceful negotiations in Ukraine.
9. It should also be borne in mind that in Russia there are not many pressure tools as many people think (the law on 500% of duties is very mythologized and incredibly difficult to fulfill if it can be fulfilled at all). The only country that can really insist on the Russian Federation is China. But China will only press the fact that negotiations with the United States will come out. And these negotiations will become a reality after the completion of negotiations with the EU.
