More than 200 non -governmental organizations around the world denounce the reduction, at the initiative of Israelfrom 400 to 4 of the food distribution points in Gaza. The warning was given through a letter released on Tuesday (1st). The comparison was made between the current amount and the one that existed during the ceasefire period. According to them, the decrease generated the concentration of 2 million people in unhealthy crowds and strong militarization.

In the letter, entitled Extreme Hunger or shooting, the entities point out that in less than a month, more than 500 Palestinians were murdered and 4,000 were injured when they were trying to get food. Organizations also point out that Israeli military and armed groups have opened fire, backed by Israeli authorities against desperate civilians who risk their lives to survive.

The scenario, they add, is promoting hunger, inanition and thirst as a weapon of annihilation of the Palestinian people, forced and deep displacement. The entities call for the end of the so -called Humanitarian Gaza Foundation and the blockade of the Israeli government to humanitarian and supplies aid and the resumption of mechanisms such as those commanded by United Nations (UN).

“Under the new Israeli government scheme, hungry and fragile civilians are being forced to travel hours, for dangerous and active conflict areas, only to face violent and chaotic competitions to reach fences, militarized sites of distribution with a single point of entry. There, hundreds of people are released in the midst of limited food supplies. massacres, in the act of disrespect to international law, ”they write in the letter

According to organizations, many have their body so weak that they are not even able to enter this dispute for something and that others leave with insufficient items to be able to cook or without drinking water. The letter also underlines that the fuel is also running out in Gaza and already affects essential services and, therefore, capable of saving lives, such as water supply systems, ambulance fleet, hospitals and bakeries.

“Orphaned children and responsible for them are in the midst of the dead, with children injured in more than half of the attacks on civilians in these places. With the health system in Gaza already collapsed, many of the people shot are abandoned to bleed, out of the reach of ambulances and their right to denied help,” they describe. At a press conference held yesterday, one of the experts who has talked about genocide in Gaza, in the name of Amnesty International, said that a Palestinian told her that they have been treated as if they were animals by Israel, who makes them rival food when gates open.

“’They don’t reach food. When the gates open, everyone runs and chasing the food. No one looks us in the eye’ [relatou ele a ela sobre o comportamento das forças israelenses]”Said Boutou Hassan to journalists.” This is absolutely genocide, “he said. Fady Abed of Medglobal, an organization that works in humanitarian crisis contexts, said that every day his team serves children with serious health. They are already there.

“Mothers say they can no longer breastfeed newborns and that they can no longer feed their children properly. This is not because they no longer want to, but because the food is not available or, when it is, it is sold at insane prices that no one can afford. Basic items are five, ten times higher than previously practiced,” Abed narrated to media outlets. According to a United Nations (UN) survey that analyzed November 2023 to April 2024, almost 70% of the victims killed in Gaza were children and women. About 80% of them were in residential buildings when they were killed.
