(ANSA) – BERLIN, 07 JAN – The State-Regions conference is held today in Germany with Chancellor Olaf Shcolz, on anti Covid measures. The Robert Koch Institut recorded a new increase in the weekly incidence of infections, which rose to 303.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (yesterday the figure was 214.9). The new cases of infection recorded are 56,335 and 264 deaths related to the virus.
In Germany, there is a move towards a further tightening of contacts, as there are fears of a drastic increase in the spread of the virus due to the Omicron variant in the coming days and weeks.
Yesterday it was leaked that the chancellor wants to impose the 2G plus throughout the Federal Republic, making the negative test mandatory even for vaccinated people who have not yet had the booster for entry into bars and restaurants. (HANDLE).
