Morocco: rescuers, a few meters to reach little Ryan

(ANSA) – RABAT, 03 FEB – A handful of meters are now missing, about ten to be exact, and the excavator will have reached Ryan, the little boy who fell into the well on Tuesday afternoon in Tamrout, near Chefchauen, Morocco. 48 hours after the flight that made him crash, near his home, while he was playing, the 5-year-old boy is still alive. He is tired, tired, has some wounds on his head, but he breathes autonomously. The images that the rescuers’ cameras were able to capture show Ryan crouched in the mud.

The child, whose story recalls that of Alfredino Rampi, is 32 meters deep, not 60 as was believed. Tonight’s investigations were essential in establishing the exact location of the little one. The diameter of the shaft is 30 centimeters on the surface, but it shrinks as you descend, until it becomes 20, which thwarted the efforts of the speleologists who attempted to descend until the early hours of dawn. An ambulance is on site and a royal gendarmerie helicopter is stationary 5 kilometers from the crash site. Everything is ready for any eventuality.

The bulldozers have been digging next to the well for two days and nights and, according to direct witnesses, there are now only a few meters of tunnel to reach the exact height where the child should be. “We are over 22 meters deep, we should make it in the next few hours”, confirmed the coordinator of the emergency unit. As for the baby’s state of health, he cut it short, “it’s hard to say right now”. (HANDLE).
