Usa: violence in the streets, Biden in New York meets the mayor

(ANSA) – ROME, FEBRUARY 03 – After making a statement to the press on the raid in Syria in which the head of Isis was killed, United States President Joe Biden went to New York to meet Mayor Eric Adams and discuss of the increase in crime in the metropolis.

The two had already met in the White House last summer to discuss with other leaders the spread of violence in several American cities. Biden, Adams and Attorney General Merrick Garland plan to visit New York Police Headquarters Gov. Kathy Hochul to take stock of strategies for taking guns off the streets. Then they will move to Queens, one of the most crime-affected neighborhoods in New York. (HANDLE).
