(ANSA) – ROME, 07 FEB – After almost a year, Vietnam reopens the schools still closed due to the Covid emergency. Over 17 million students will be able to return to class by mid-February, and in the capital Hanoi as of tomorrow, as announced by the Ministry of Health, while the authorities prepare to launch the vaccination campaign for minors from 5 years old and the government announced plans to purchase 21.9 million doses of the pediatric serum manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech. The Guardian reports it.
The country had already lifted many restrictions in October.
Over 75% of the 98 million Vietnamese have received at least two doses of the vaccine. Since the start of the pandemic, the authorities have registered 2.3 million cases (of which 14,112 yesterday) and over 38,300 victims. (HANDLE).
