British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has accused the Russian Federation of making false statements regarding its plans for Ukraine.

She wrote about it in Twitter on the eve of his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“Russia’s actions show that its claims of no invasion plans are false. We and our allies are united in our support for Ukraine and our determination to ‘raise the price’ for Russia if they take further action.”the message says.

A British diplomat published a post in The Washington Post on February 5, in which Washington officials talk about the completion of Russia’s preparations for a large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

We are talking about preparing a staging of the resumption of active hostilities in the Donbass, the responsibility for which the Russian Federation wants to lay on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, a full-scale invasion could result in the deaths of 25,000 to 50,000 civilians, 5,000 to 25,000 Ukrainian troops, and 3,000 to 10,000 Russian troops.

The threat of Russian invasion of Ukraine

  • Near the borders of Ukraine, Russia has deployed an army of approximately 115,000. Right now, the likelihood of significant escalation is low, but things can change at any moment.
  • Russia can use the video to accuse Ukraine of “genocide of the Russian-speaking population” and use the outrage over the video to justify its invasion. Another version of events is for the leaders of the militants in the Donbass to “urge Moscow to intervene.”
  • Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin would pay a high price in the event of a full-scale military aggression against Ukraine, and the Russian Federation would cease to exist as a state.
  • In addition, the media published new satellite images of Russian equipment near the borders of Ukraine and in the territory of the occupied Crimea. The photo was taken in late January and early February.
