The “total absence” of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance on the Potentino roads “has definitively marked the quality of our road network, especially in the Vulture and Alto Bradano area”. This was stated by the councilor for infrastructure of the Basilicata Region, Donatella Merra, in a note in which she underlined that 66.5 million euros are planned for the provincial road system, the basis of “a strategic program which has partly anticipated also the needs related to the Giro d’Italia”. In particular, Merra explained that there is “a program for increasing the resilience of the provincial road network for almost 11.5 million euros” and that “almost 55 million euros have been granted for the expansion, completion and continuation dell’Oratiana, strategic transversal for the Vulture and for all of Basilicata”.
