Anas (FS Italiane Group) has scheduled the start of maintenance work on the ‘IV Stormo Caccia’ viaduct at km 17.452 of the 55 “Isonzo” state road in Gorizia. From Tuesday 6 June the viaduct will be closed to traffic for about 3 months to operate simultaneously on all the viaduct structures, thus reducing the execution times of the interventions and at the same time guaranteeing safety for road users and for the personnel involved in the works.During the closing period, as agreed with the territorially competent bodies , the traffic flows will be diverted to the underlying coplanar. The work plan provides for the seismic upgrading of the viaduct, the replacement of the safety barriers, the reconstruction of the expansion joints and the support devices. Once completed, the interventions will raise the safety standards of the viaduct also improving driving comfort along the state road 55 “dell’Isonzo”.
