Hyundai Palisade, new look and new engine for the US market

Hyundai is also adapting into the US market to the change of customers’ tastes, which in the context of the ‘large SUVs’ with three rows of seats – the most loved by families as the main car – aim for a more modern and personal design, and above all towards a more strong off -road character. This is demonstrated by the new generation of the Palisade SUV, which Hyundai has revealed to the New York International Auto Show and which will debut in dealerships during 2026. And which adds, with its new hybrid engine, a further piece towards decarbonisation.

“Hyundai Palisade 2026 demonstrates our commitment to customers’ needs – said OlaBisi Boyle, Senior Vice President Product Planning and Mobility Strategy of Hyundai of America – with its bold design, cutting -edge technology and improved comfort, including a third row of revisited seats, we now have a vehicle that fully satisfies the recidals of the motorists “.
“The introduction of a hybrid variant, together with our robust internal combustion engine and the XRT model ready for adventure, guarantees that each motorist finds the perfect solution. This strategic approach positions Hyundai in order to excel in any market context, guiding our continuous growth in the SUV segment.” Greater and more daring in the look, Palisade offers a premium level passenger compartment with great comfort and significantly improved load capacity. The bodywork is 6.3 cm longer than the previous generation with a step that grows by 6.8 cm.
The image transmitted by Palisade is that of a more ‘imposing’ vehicle especially if observed next to it. In the face of the greater length, the front overhang has been reduced by 40 mm and the horizontal line of the hood is combined – with an effect of greater robustness with a more vertical front upright.
The front has a vertical graphic characteristic of the LED daytime lights and a central horizontal central signature, elements that give a wider appearance and highlight the bold grill, with active ventilation flaps in the lower range.
In the queue, the large light of stops mounted at the top and the bold profile of the Montante D which melts perfectly with the vertical signature of the rear headlights and with the integrated Mancurrent signs stand out. All exalted by the large wheels that reach 21 inches.
Under the hood the previous range earns a new hybrid engine V6 turbo 2.5 liters which delivers up to 329 HP overall and an estimated autonomy – combining battery and petrol – up to 1,000 km. The thermal unit delivers up to 258 HP while the two electrical engines integrated in the six -speed automatic transmission develop up to 90 HP, for a torque of 480 Nm.
