“All electric in the automotive is economic, commercial and industrial death”. This was declared by the vice -president of the Council and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, who intervened today at the appointment with the audience of the Automotive Dealer Day in Verona.
“The numbers make the difference – Salvini said – and my ministry is made of numbers, to keep the feet planted on the ground. Today we are spending 180 billion euros of the community’s money and I have to think about the numbers. We are facing all a green path but my data speak of CO2 in the increased world with 37.4 tons for a maximum never reached”.
“Europe has cut 200 million emissions – added Salvini – but China and India have increased them. What result? Greater pollution from CO2 and less productive and distribution capacity in Europe. If you put limits to your production and leave the others free to burn coal to produce cars that enter our Ztl, the result is this”.
The superbollo is also in the sights of the minister. “It is an element that we will abolish gradually – explained Salvini – raising the power threshold and then going to Scaglioni towards the elimination. It could happen even before the summer”.
On the appointments set for 2035, the minister is explicit. “All electric, economic, commercial and industrial death. Someone in Brussels should rethink us, while some representatives of the automotive industry have caused their own ruin between Italy and Germany”.
