Jaguar E-Type’s ‘return’, the callum designs version

After leaving the Jaguar, where he was head of design, Ian Callum with his company, Callum Designs, worked on several projects, and has now revisited the icon of the English house, the e-Type, proposing it in a modern key. Without distorting the essence of the lines, it made it more concrete by eliminating chroming, using the LED light signatures and retractable handles. New wheels are also inspired by the design of the covering hubs of the original model.
The study, which appeared on the Instagram page of Callum Designs, proposes a roadster version of the English sporty, which shows off an opaque gray livery capable of enhancing its basic lines.

The passenger compartment reflects the tradition with the many circular elements, but in the central part of the dashboard there are small screens that bring modernity, from which it is possible to view, for example, the map of the navigator. The 5 -speed gear lever, however, suggests, together with the rear discharges, that it is not a reinterpretation in electrical format, but that under the long hood there is still a combustion engine, even if the type of engine has not been announced.
From what is learned from the company’s Instagram page, it is one of the creations that can be made to measure, therefore for the finishes and for the engine it is presumable that the customers’ indications will prevail.
