(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 19 – Atm’s 100 electric buses will be housed in a new underground depot in viale Toscana, above these 20 thousand square meters there will be an urban park with green areas and sports fields open to the public. The tender for the assignment of the project for the construction of the new structure was awarded to the company Cremonesi Workshop, in a ‘temporary business combination’ with ETS and RPA.

The overall investment, states a note, is equal to 100 million euros.

At level 0 there will be the entrance and exit of the vehicles and the personnel offices. At level -1 the bus maintenance workshop and washing stations will be built. At level -2 there will be the parking of the 100 e-buses.

The structure will be built with low environmental impact materials, made with recycled and recyclable raw materials, and will be independent in terms of energy, thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels and geothermal systems. A rainwater recovery system will also be built for washing e-buses, thus reducing water consumption by 30%. Above a large green lawn will surround the “water square”, with a fountain and water games; a sports area with tennis courts, a skate park, a climbing wall, five-a-side football and padel courts.
