May turned out to be a month of insane rise in autogas prices. From May 2 to May 31, the cost of this type of fuel in retail chains increased by an average of UAH 9.94 per liter and amounts to UAH 40.86 per liter.

As the specialized publication enkorr writes, this is the result of daily monitoring of autogas prices in gas station networks in Ukraine.

Autogas prices

For example, at OKKO and WOG stations, they began to sell autogas for 10 and 11 UAH per liter more expensive – for 41 and 41.97 UAH/l, respectively.

Consolidated network “Privat” increased prices by 9.57 UAH/l. Now you can buy autogas there at a price of 39.92-39.95 UAH/l. At Avantage 7 gas stations, the price has risen by UAH 11.95 per liter – fuel is sold for UAH 41.95 / liter.

The situation is similar at KLO and SOCAR filling stations, where an increase in the cost of autogas by 11.5 and 8.5 UAH/l was recorded – up to 42.99 and 40.98 UAH/l, respectively.

Ukrgasvydobycha increased the cost of fuel by 14 UAH/l in a month. Now autogas in the network will be sold for 44 UAH/l. In other networks, prices for autogas jumped from 4 to 14 hryvnia per liter.

The hype pushes prices

The jump in gasoline prices, which is now observed at Ukrainian gas stations, is a consequence of not only a shortage, but also a rush demand. According to Sergey Kuyun, director of the A-95 Consulting Group, they carry a lot of fuel, but it is almost impossible to find it at gas stations.

“We see private transport – every car with a canister. And that is why it is not possible to eliminate this shortage so quickly”the expert is convinced.

Many Ukrainians stand in kilometer-long queues for gas stations, although they do not really need fuel. Therefore, the sky-high prices that companies set are a consequence of high demand. Given the situation, we should expect prices even higher than 60 UAH/l.

Segodnya previously wrote that Naftogaz would be given some gas stations to create a national network of filling stations and told what rule was canceled for drivers for the summer.
