The authorities during the war are doing everything to contain utility tariffs and expect that the coming winter and heating season will be difficult.

This was stated by Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko on the air of “Suspilny”.

“We are expecting a difficult season, not even in terms of resources, but in terms of the ongoing war. Unfortunately, we are losing generation, there are constant shelling of stations and corresponding supply routes. We are preparing very responsibly for this, understanding the risks,” he said .

Galushchenko stressed that the country has already approved plans for a repair company, maintaining a balance between electricity production and gas supply during the heating season. And the minister is confident that they will be implemented.

What will happen to the temperature in housing and tariffs?

The head of the ministry was asked whether it would be necessary to reduce the temperature in the premises in order to save blue fuel. Galushchenko noted that the temperature will correspond European standards and that’s where politicians come from.

“The temperature should be based on the indicators that are in European states, and what we should consume sparingly, realizing that we are in a war. The Ministry for the Development of Communities and Territories noted that we are talking about a room temperature of 18 to 20 degrees,” Galushchenko said.

He also stressed that during the war the stability of tariffs would be ensured, however, the ban on their increase will not affect the stability of the energy supply.

Despite the fact that the system functions stably, Ukrainians are urged to consume the resource more responsibly and not to allow them to be wasted in such difficult times.

Segodnya used to write how to properly prepare for the heating season, and told whether to expect a gas shortage this winter.
