(ANSA) – MILAN, JUL 18 – First session of the week up for Piazza Affari, which also looks at the political issues and awaits a solution for the Draghi government: the Ftse Mib index closed with an increase of 1.13% in 21,169 points, the FTSE All share up by the same 1.13% to 23,216.
The Milan Stock Exchange was thus one of the best of the day in Europe, where Amsterdam closed up by 1.3%, followed by London up by one percentage point and Paris up by 0.9%. More cautious Frankfurt (+ 0.7%) and Madrid, which ended up 0.2%.
Piazza Affari obviously observed the sharp decline in the spread between 10-year German BTPs and Bunds: the differential closed at 206 basis points after starting at 218, with the yield on the Treasury product at 3.27%. The price of gas on international markets is down: in Amsterdam methane concluded its trading a 1% drop to 157 euros per megawatt hour, after starting the day at 164. Oil, on the other hand, has tried to return to 100 dollars a barrel, a boost for world stock exchanges.
In this context, among the main stocks in Milan the best was Tenaris, which concluded up 4%, but all banks very well: Mps, very volatile, and Banco Bpm grew by 3%, with Intesa increasing by 2.5% and Unicredit by 1.6%. Among industrialists, purchases from Stellantis (+ 2.4% to 12.2 euros) after the start of the termination of the joint venture with Gac.
Enel is down, which has sold 1.8% due to the ex-dividend coupon and still very badly Saipem, which has lost 7% to 0.76 euros with the consortium of banks to guarantee the capital increase that it will put on the market at least part of its share.
In the smaller capitalization basket, Italia Independent, readmitted to trading at the EGM, closed down 23% to € 0.45 after the heavy red in the 2021 financial statements, whose publication had been deferred. (HANDLE).
