(ANSA) – TURIN, 20 JUL – For the first time an Asian car enters the permanent collection of the Mauto in Turin, one of the most iconic locations in Italian motoring. It is Kia EV6, the 100% electric crossover that won the prestigious Coty 2022. The model was donated to Mauto by Kia Italia which entrusted the architects and designers Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, winners of international awards including the Compasso d’oro, the creation of an artistic installation that stages the ideal optical effect to represent the energy that envelops the EV6 when it is in motion.
“Kia EV6 has arrived on the Italian market becoming an absolute reference for 100% electric zero-emission vehicles. EV6 is the ambassador of Kia’s global ambitions to be the leader in electric mobility solutions of the future” explains the CEO by Kia Italia, Giuseppe Bitti.
“Being able to boast the stable presence of one of our cars in a real institution in the national automotive scene like the Mauto fills us with pride and satisfaction”.
Sales figures confirm the success of the Kia model: since the global launch in spring 2021, around 29,600 EV6s have been sold worldwide, of which 16,000 in Europe, while in Italy orders already exceed 200 units.
