(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 29 JUL – Illycaffè’s consolidated revenues in the first half of 2022 recorded an increase of 21% compared to 2021; Ebitda increased compared to 2021, benefiting from the acceleration of revenues and the growing operating efficiency deriving from a strong strategic focus on long-term growth drivers.

The revenues of the Ho.Re.Ca. channel, supported by a gradual recovery in consumption outside the home, recorded double-digit growth compared to 2021, reducing the gap compared to pre-pandemic levels, particularly in Italy, where revenues are increased by 30% compared to 2021 thanks to an acceleration in the acquisition rate of new customers, especially in the premium segment, and to the increase in average consumption.

The revenues of the HOME channels also grew compared to 2021. In particular, the revenues of the online channel increased by 11% compared to 2021 led by the United States and China. In fact, in the United States, a priority market in the industrial plan, revenues are + 34% compared to 2021 due to the positive performance in large-scale distribution, the strengthening of collaboration with Amazon and the recovery of the foodservice channel.

The other markets in which the group is present also recorded strong growth in revenues compared to 2021. In particular, in China, revenues increased by 16% compared to 2021, driven by online.

Despite the continuous pressure on margins linked to increases in raw material costs, and logistics costs. (HANDLE).
