(ANSA) – TRIESTE, AUGUST 27 – An all-out strike this morning as a sign of solidarity by “all the workers of the port companies in relation to port activities (moving, boarding and lashing), connected to the activities of Wartsila Italia”. It is the one proclaimed by FILT-CGIL, FIT-CISL, UILTRASPORTI and UGL mare, as reported in a note bearing the signatures of Paolo Peretti, Giulio Germani, Bruno Fioretti and Davide Alessio respectively.

The objective, according to what is learned, would be to create a garrison in order to block the transfer of some engines produced in the Wartsila plant in Bagnoli della Val Rosandra (Trieste). These, in fact, should be loaded on a ship arriving at the Trieste port, so that you can deliver them to Daewoo. These are 12 engines ready and already brought to the airport area. The blockade should last, as the newspaper Il Piccolo writes this morning, at least until the Mise reconvene the discussion table before the expiry (September 14) of the dismissal procedure of 451 workers of the Trieste plant, that is, those who operate in the production sector. Section that the Finnish group has decided to close.

The ship, Uhl Fusion, should arrive this evening in the Trieste port.
