Russia has increased the volume of gas sales to Europe: it is supplied through Ukraine and Turkey

Gas deliveries of “Gazprom” to Europe in March increased by 4% in daily terms compared with February. At the same time, the volume of deliveries is much lower than it was before the full-scale war.

This was reported by Reuters with reference to its own calculations. The calculations are based on data on daily transit volumes of Gazprom sent through Turkey and Ukraine. Since Russian gas supplies to Europe via the Yamal-Europe and Nord Stream gas pipelines were terminated last year, the only routes for Russian gas to Europe are through the Turkish Stream pipeline through Turkey and through Ukraine.

The average daily amount of gas supplied to Europe via these routes increased to 70.3 million cubic meters in March from 67.5 million cubic meters in February, Reuters calculated. The total volume shipped to Europe for the month amounted to about 2.18 billion cubic meters. About 1.28 billion cubic meters m – the average daily value of 41.2 million cubic meters. m – passed through Ukraine, and 902 million cubic meters. m – or 29.1 million cubic meters. m per day – through Turkey.

The data comes from Gazprom, which discloses daily shipments through Ukraine, and the European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSOG). Gazprom stopped publishing statistics on total exports at the beginning of the year. It previously disclosed export levels twice a month.

Last year, Russia supplied Europe with a total of about 62 billion cubic meters of gas via various routes. Total exports to non-CIS countries, including China and Turkey, decreased by almost 46% to 100.9 billion cubic meters. m in 2022, according to Gazprom’s own statistics.

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS wrote earlier, Ukrainians pay for gas at different rates. Most use the services of Naftogaz, but there are also several commercial suppliers of blue fuel.
