The State Statistics Service of Ukraine will be turned into an IT company: Fedorov told the details

Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine plans to turn the State Statistics Service (State Statistics Service) into an organization similar to an IT company. The department plans to reduce the staff by 30% and create a single central legal entity.

Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov spoke about this in an interview with Forbes. He noted that the State Statistics Service should become a convenient information service for the state and society, so that business, the media, scientists and citizens can receive the necessary information.

Together with EPAM, an audit of business processes and IT infrastructure of the State Statistics Service has already been carried out, the results have been analyzed and a transformation strategy has been proposed.

“Our task is to turn the State Statistics Service into a modern organization similar to an IT company. To create an information system that collects information in real time, processes data and allows them to be quickly distributed. So that journalists, businesses or anyone who wants to can use the data “, – said the Deputy Prime Minister.

The Ministry of Digital Development has plans to digitize the State Statistics Service in order to automate processes as much as possible and reduce the number of employees by 30%. Thus, the data will be processed and disseminated faster, and each statistical observation on the platform will be up-to-date. The key principle of the digital transformation of the State Statistics Service is the maximum use of automated processes in order to avoid attracting people to them.

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS previously reported, Fedorov said that there are currently no plans to ban TikTok in Ukraine. Although the Ministry of Digital Development is following similar trends in other countries. The Deputy Prime Minister added: now they are not talking about the ban and are not taking any concrete actions in this direction.
