Angelina Jolie calls on the world to help children victims of war

From the first days of a full-scale war, Angelina Jolie expressed her support for the Ukrainian people. Moreover, she personally came to Lviv and talked with IDP children.

The star continues to talk about the war in Ukraine, especially paying attention to the injured and dead children.

On Instagram, the actress published a post in which she indicated that almost 2/3 of the children from Ukraine were forcibly displaced. As Angelina noted, since February 24, at least 277 children have been killed and 456 injured.

Jolie also said that in Ukraine, as a result of Russian attacks, at least 256 healthcare facilities and more than 1,800 schools were damaged and destroyed.

Celebrity noted – children bear the greatest consequences of war. Worldwide, children make up 30% of the population, but also 41% of all internally displaced people.

A collaborative effort to overcome the physical and emotional manifestations of trauma must meet not only the needs of children in Ukraine, but also Afghanistan, Yemen and many other often forgotten conflicts, which are funded far below the level sufficient to meet the needs of children, Jolie explained.

The star emphasized that society should provide more powerful assistance and support to children.
