Brunello and Sollima tomorrow for ‘Musica Insieme’ in Bologna

(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, NOVEMBER 20 – Daniil Trifonov, one of the most appreciated pianists at the international level, is indisposed and therefore his concert in Bologna scheduled for November 22 is missing: the ‘Musica Insieme’ Foundation, which that appointment had in his bill, maintains his commitment with the public by calling two friends, the cellists Mario Brunello and Giovanni Sollima, who return to the Auditorium Manzoni tomorrow as a couple, thus giving fans an unexpected evening.

The two instrumentalists, who performed together a few weeks ago for the Roman season of Santa Cecilia, will play five instruments of different sizes and textures for an original program entitled Suite Italienne, introducing the pieces themselves to the public. A rare opportunity, therefore, to enjoy in the same evening two extraordinary cellists who combine their skills in a program that ranges from Verdi to Queen, without forgetting the baroque of Bach and Bertali and the contemporary of Sollima himself.

An amalgamation between the Mediterranean and sunny curiosity of Giovanni Sollima, composer and researcher of rare music and authors to be recovered, and the more reflective character of Mario Brunello, witness of the ancient repertoire, a lover of introspection and of the mountains. (HANDLE).
