More Books, the Cepell meetings, opens Alessandro Baricco

ROME – Round tables, dialogues and debates to imagine a new future of the book that will be opened on 4 December at 3.30 pm by a lectio magistralis by Alessandro Baricco.
This is the special program of appointments of the Center for books and reading-Cepell at the Fair of small and medium publishing ‘Più libri più liber’, from 4 to 8 December at the Nuvola dell’Eur, in Rome.
Cepell will also propose moments of in-depth analysis of the constant and widespread work that the Center carries out through projects, funding, calls for proposals and initiatives.
On the opening day of the Fair also Serena Dandini and Chiara Valerio in dialogue on the infinite possibilities and nuances of the Scriptures. Marino Sinibaldi and Paolo Di Paolo who will ideally open ‘The reader’s suitcase’ in a conversation enriched by the reading of the actor Valerio Aprea (18.45, Sala Elettra). While data and reflections on ‘Reading in early childhood’ will be at the center of a meeting, in collaboration with the Italian Publishers Association, which will be attended by Pier Domenico Baccalario, Beatrice Fini, Angelo Piero Cappello, Carlo Gallucci and Giovanni Peresson. Also in the foreground is ‘Let’s make a pact!’, A meeting on the future and prospects of the Pacts for reading with Marino Sinibaldi and Vincenzo Santoro, in which the informative e-book ‘Let’s make a pact!’ and the characteristics of the new database of the Pacts for reading will be illustrated.
Translating to support Italian literature in the world will be dedicated ‘Visible translators. Initiatives in favor of editorial translators in Italy (and abroad) ‘, the focus on financial support provided to the Casa delle Translation by the Center, the Tradit database and the collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institutes, with Angelo Piero Cappello, Paolo Grossi , Marina Pugliano, Laura Pugno, Tiziana Tonon.
