Customers of Mercado Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency broker, will have exclusive access, starting today, to 100 NFTs from the Jungle Society collection, as announced by the company.
The works, which are part of the international Jaguar Friends project, which Mercado Bitcoin joined, are signed by Joel Best, award-winning 3D artist and creator of the Lucky Lion Club collection.
With more than five thousand variations, they can be purchased on the project’s website. Part of the amount raised will be used in jaguar preservation projects.
For Robson Harada, MB’s CMO, the partnership with CryptoArtery, the project’s creator, reinforces the potential of the digital economy as a vector of environmental commitments.
“At MB, we seek to build collaborations focused on delivering experiences in the Web3 ecosystem. In this sense, Jaguar Friends explores a dynamic in physical and virtual activations – with direct ballast in ESG practices – that makes tangible a very special use case for emerging and exponential technologies”, he says.
Jaguar Friends began with the Jaguar Parade, an urban artistic intervention that brought together stylized jaguar sculptures. The works were exhibited in São Paulo and New York, in places such as Central Park, the World Trade Center and at the UN headquarters.
In parallel, the project featured exclusive FineArts by major international artists, such as Polina Bright, Emre Yusef, the couple Welder Wings, the Brazilian Beto Gatti, Marco Battaglini, The Dizzy Viper, Diego Berro, among others.
A version was also created in The Sandbox metaverse, in which the user had the opportunity to walk in Central Park and participate in a challenge to collect jaguar miniatures, as an interactive game.
