Lula’s government will have 37 ministries; see how the division will be and who has already been confirmed

The future Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costaconfirmed this Saturday (17) that the government of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will be 37 ministries🇧🇷

To get to the number 37 ministriesthe new government intends to divide the Ministry of Economy into four folders: Finance, Planning, Industry and Management.

The Fishing, Cities, Transport, Ports and Sport folders will be recreated. While creating the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples.

Civil House: Rui Costa

Ministry of Defense: José Múcio

Ministry of Finance: Fernando Haddad

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Mauro Vieira

A graduate of the Brazilian diplomatic academy, the Rio Branco Institute, the future minister is a career professional at the Itamaraty with over 40 years in the field. He previously served as ambassador abroad from 1982 to 1999, in Montevideo, Mexico City and Paris.

Vieira also commanded Itamaraty between 2015 and 2016, during the second Dilma (PT) government. Currently, the future minister heads the Brazilian embassy in Zagreb, capital of Croatia.

Like Dino, Vieira has a technical profile and is seen as an ally of the new government.
