(ANSA) – CREMONA, MAY 30 – The Casa del Dosso, a splendid manor house in Castelleone, in the province of Cremona, was devoured by flames between late afternoon and Sunday night. The intervention of the firefighters of Crema and Cremona, supported by carabinieri and civil protection, with the mayor Pietro Fiori at the forefront, only managed to limit the damage, however considerable.
The causes are being investigated now. And according to the initial findings, the intentional origin is not excluded. Suspicions were raised, in particular, by a neighbor. Telling the investigators how in the past a group of young people had already targeted the dwelling, uninhabited, vandalizing doors and furniture and how some children were seen cycling away from the area shortly before the flames developed.
