(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 18 – Another 34,978 new cases and 45 victims of Covid in the last 24 hours, four more than yesterday. The daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health confirms the increase in infections recorded by the Higher Institute of Health and can also be seen in the data relating to hospitalizations: both those in intensive care are increasing, albeit in a slight way – to date there are 193 patients, two more than yesterday – both those in the ordinary wards, where 4,331 people are hospitalized, 11 more in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the positivity rate is slightly down: it is 18.1%, out of 193,040 swabs, compared to 19% yesterday. The currently positive ones are 561,015, therefore 11,030 less in the last 24 hours. A total of 17,844,905 Italians have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deaths rise to 167,703. The discharged and healed are 17,116,187, with an increase of 45,956.
