(ANSA) – BOLZANO, JUL 13 – Helicopter flights have resumed in Bolzano to definitively put out the forest fire, which broke out yesterday afternoon on the slopes of Monte Tondo overlooking the historic center. As Deputy Mayor Luis Walcher confirmed to ANSA, the fire yesterday afternoon probably started from several points at the same time.

During the night the fire, which now seemed to have died out, resumed near the Peter Ploner farm, Walcher informs, but fortunately the flames were noticed by the firefighters on guard in the woods, as well as by those positioned on the Talvera meadows. It was thus possible to quickly quell the stake.

The wind that is blowing on the back of the mountain creates many problems. (HANDLE).
