(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, OCTOBER 29 – In Emilia-Romagna the effectiveness of vaccines continues to be very high over time, especially in preventing hospital admissions, intensive care admissions and deaths. As for the age groups, in the last four weeks examined, infections mainly concern unvaccinated young people (12-39 years), while the incidence of hospitalizations in Covid-19 wards and in intensive care is significant especially among 60-79 year olds not vaccinated.

In the last four weeks, 71 deaths have been reported, of which 53 in the over 80 population. The remaining 18 deaths occurred mainly in the 60-79 age group (13 deaths). In this range, the incidence of death is 6.4 times higher in the unvaccinated than in the vaccinated. (HANDLE).
