Chinese way of growing seedlings: tomatoes will be stronger and will not hurt

Recently, a lot of information has appeared about the Chinese way of growing tomatoes. Experts say that the fruits will grow strong, and the seedlings will not be susceptible to disease.

In fact, Ukrainians popularly call the Chinese method a cutting. GLOBAL HAPPENINGS publishes step-by-step instructions for a popular method.

Step 1. Preparation

For sowing, only the largest seeds are selected, after hardening them in a stimulator.

By the way, gardeners are advised to germinate the seeds before planting. You should prepare a bag of gauze, put the seeds in it and lower it into warm water. Soaking the seeds for more than 12 hours is not recommended – they may deteriorate. You need to change the water every four hours.

Step 2 Landing

It is best to plant seeds in containers according to the scheme 4 cm by 2 cm.

  1. Spread the seeds
  2. Spray it with water
  3. Cover the seeds with soil
  4. Cover crops with foil

You should also pay attention to the days favorable for sowing according to the lunar calendar.

Step 3 Hardening

At night, the tomatoes are transferred to a place with a lower temperature (approximately 4-5 ° C). You can simply rearrange the container closer to the window.

Step 4. Dive

It is in diving that the main highlight of the Chinese method lies. In fact, this is not a dive, but cuttings. As soon as the seedlings germinate and 2-4 leaves appear, they are cut below the seven-lobed leaves, leaving the root system and stump in the soil.

Step 5. Sprouting

It is advised to germinate cuttings in water or in soil. Gardeners still recommend the earth more. The fact is that the roots of tomatoes grow very quickly and can get tangled in the water.

After that, usually in May, the seedlings grown according to the Chinese method are planted in a greenhouse.

It is worth noting that the German way of growing tomatoes is also gaining popularity in the network. The Germans use an unusual fertilizer – fish. It is rich in micronutrients, thanks to which tomatoes will grow healthy and large. The German method has a number of advantages, in particular, water and fertilizers do not spread and are immediately absorbed by the roots.
