Lime deposits often form on the bottom of the toilet bowl. Even regular care cannot prevent its occurrence, because hard water contains a lot of calcium and magnesium salts. In addition, yellow spots form at the bottom, and even expensive detergents sometimes do not help in the fight against them.
If you do not wash the plaque in the initial stages, it can turn into thick growths. GLOBAL HAPPENINGS talks about an effective way to remove the most stubborn stains.
Baking soda and vinegar are indispensable cleaning aids. When used correctly, they will qualitatively remove impurities from calcium residues and hard water salts that accumulate at the bottom of the toilet bowl.
It is necessary to prepare:
- baking soda;
- white vinegar;
- toilet brush;
- latex gloves.
For convenience, we publish step-by-step instructions:
Step 1. Flush all the water from the toilet. To do this, turn off the water and drain until all the water goes down.
Step 2 Sprinkle the bottom of the toilet generously with baking soda. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes for the active ingredients to take effect.
Step 3. It’s time to add vinegar. After it reacts with soda, hissing will begin – this will help remove even obsolete deposits. The mixture should be left on the bottom of the toilet bowl for at least 30 minutes.
Step 4 Take a brush to clean the surfaces. The baking soda and vinegar mixture should soften the stains so they’re fairly easy to remove.
Step 5. Turn on the water and rinse off the remnants of the product. If stains remain, you can repeat the process again.
By the way, citric acid will also help wash the toilet. 200 g of acid must be poured into the toilet bowl and another 100 g into the drain tank, which also contains a lot of lime deposits. Read more about how acid will help get rid of plaque – read the material.
